The Design Creativity SIG would like to invite proposals for Design Creativity SIG events, namely, workshops, meetings, seminars, symposiums, conferences, summer schools etc. DC SIG event is an event organized by the DC SIG member(s) or a group/an organization constituted by the DC SIG member(s) and opened its opportunity for all DC SIG members (not limited to).
There is no prescribed format for these events, but it is left at the discretion of the proposers to specify and should be designed in order to develop specific ideas, theories, networks etc. in relation to facet/s of design creativity. Beyond those attending, the outcomes will be shared with the wider Design Creativity SIG members to advance the knowledge and debate on the nature and role of design creativity.
We would ask that proposals for these events are submitted in a single A4 page, providing information on the: Title; Event organizers/chairs/owners/hosts; Background and motivation; Format and timings; and Expected outcomes.
We especially welcome proposals for workshops which are participatory events that typically take place over the course of a morning or afternoon session at established Design Society conferences such as DESIGN, ICDC, ICED, etc., and span a maximum of about 180 minutes.
If you have a specific target conference in mind then please include this also, otherwise applications will be considered in relation to the Design Society conference calendar.
Please email your proposals to: dcsigleaders@gmail.com
Regards,
Akane, Andrew and Srini (DC SIG chairs)
