The Design Creativity SIG would like to invite proposals for Design Creativity workshops. These are participatory events that typically take place over the course of a morning or afternoon at established Design Society conferences such as DESIGN, ICDC, ICED, etc., and span a maximum of about 180 minutes.

The format of workshops is open to proposers to specify, but should be designed in order to develop specific ideas, theories, networks etc. in relation to a particular facet of design creativity. Beyond those attending, the workshop findings will be shared with the wider Design Creativity SIG members to further the debate on the nature and role of creativity in design.

We would ask that proposals for these workshops are submitted in a single A4 page, providing information on the: Title; Background and motivation; Format and timings; and Expected outcomes. Please send these to If you have a specific target conference in mind then please include this also, otherwise applications will be considered in relation to the Design Society conference calendar.
