Two academic topics in the product development stage are addressed: (1) how to be a creative designer, and (2) how to mediate the creation activities and social value. One major answer for first topic is that the detailed concrete process knowledge about creation steps could helps the design result more creatively. Second major answer would be to apply an estimation method of social and business value from initial design stages to detailed design stages. Based on this understanding, this paper proposes a combined method of throughout estimation method of business value and creative product design processes. An example of one new development project is applied to the proposed combined method and discussed its effectiveness.
